Personal health and healing through the unification of mind and body.
What is Kiatsu™ touch therapy?
Kiatsu™ is a form of complementary/alternative therapy focused on activating and stimulating a person’s natural healing processes by restoring the flow of ki, or living energy.
It involves applying gentle to moderate pressure using the fingertips while maintaining a relaxed, meditative state. Kiatsu™ is a focused touch therapy, comparable to (but distinct from) acupressure.
What is it good for?
Kiatsu™ can be applied to a range of ailments, including:
- Migraines
- Muscle tension
- Pain, stiffness, and swelling caused by minor injury
- Stress and other mental health problems
How effective is it?
A clinical study of Kiatsu™ with Ki training has shown it may be an effective treatment option for migraine. In general, Kiatsu™ has similar benefits to other types of touch therapy, like massage or acupressure.
Anecdotally, people treated with Kiatsu™ have reported decreases in migraine frequency, reduced stress levels, reduced inflammation, relaxation of tight muscles and fascia, reduced swelling and pain, and increased ability to cope with mental fatigue and stress.

When a water pump is dried out, no water can flow from the well up through the pump. To start this flow again we must put some water back into the pump. In the same way, Ki does not flow strongly in a person suffering from illness or misfortune. Let us practice Kiatsu to put Ki back into these people, stimulate their own flow of Ki, and give them a fresh start to happiness.
