Discover Shin Shin Tōitsu-dō – the way of mind and body unification.

Japanese yoga – otherwise known as Shin Shin Tōitsu-dō (the way of mind and body unification) – was created by Nakamura Tempu Sensei in the early 1900s. His student, Koichi Tohei, later applied these methods to aikido and founded the Ki society.

The core principle of Japanese yoga is based on mind and body working in harmony with each other. To gain more practical understanding of this principle we perform simple experiments – knows as Ki tests – alone or with others.

We teach skills that can be directly applied to your daily life, including good posture, mindfulness, meditation, positivity, relaxation and stretching.

All our classes emphasise the understanding and development of Ki (also known as chi or prana), which amounts to energy or life force.

Grasping and cultivating Ki has a profound effect on physical and mental health.
